In the Cul de Sac corridor, the Feed the Future West project is helping to rehabilitate key agricultural infrastructure, including plugging breaches along Riviere Blanche. The project will also rehabilitate the Riviere Blanche irrigation system, clean the Riviere Grise system, improve at least three critical rural roads damaged by the storm, and provide support to affected agriculture stores. The project is part of Feed the Future, the U.S. Government’s global hunger and food security initiative. Led by USAID, Feed the Future leverages the strengths of agencies across the U.S. Government and works with partners to address poverty and undernutrition around the world.
