Caught on Camera: Feed the Future in Action

We’ve wrapped up yet another photo contest here at Feed the Future and we’re excited to publish all the amazing photos for you to view.

But first, let’s get to the winners.

Our partners submitted 65 photos depicting agriculture and food security activities supported by the U.S. Government in countries around the world. The photos show how we’re investing in smallholder farmers, knowing they are innovators and key engines of growth in rural economies—stimulating growth that can change lives, communities, economies and the world.

The photos also illustrate the importance of innovation, science and technology in empowering these farmers, many of whom are women. Even seemingly small things like better seeds or a new planting technique can make a huge difference in crop yields, nutrition and incomes.

Below are the five photo contest winners for this round and an honorable mention. Click each for more information.

Which is your favorite? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook.
